From Darkness to Light 

John 9 

 
 

From birth my eyes saw darkness 

but my heart sought the Light. 

When the teacher put mud on my eyes, 

I did not draw back. 

I did not hesitate to go to the Pool of Siloam. 

 
The waters proved my sight 

but I knew it was the man called Jesus 

who opened my eyes. 

 
I bravely spoke of God’s healing power to all. 

I, who couldn’t see from birth, 

now saw the Truth in this man. 

 
I wasn’t afraid to proclaim God’s healing touch on the Sabbath. 

Now, I worship freely. 

I believe you are the Son of Man. 

The Light of the World.
