Dear Friends,

Sixteen months ago all of our lives changed drastically.  An unknown pandemic crept in and forced us to make quick decisions for our health and safety.  The most difficult decision we made here at Our Lady of Grace, was to close the doors to those outside the Monastery.  It was a necessary move but one that caused us great sadness.

After months of being cautious and the advancement of vaccines, we  feel we are at a point where we are ready to open up and welcome guests back to the Monastery.  This will be  a slow process as the safety and care of our sisters, especially the more vulnerable ones, is our utmost concern.  Therefore, we will take it slowly and carefully.

We are pleased to announce beginning July 1st, we will welcome fully vaccinated guests back into the Monastery. These guests will be invited friends and family members of the sisters.  We will allow up to 15 people per day.  In a relatively short time, we plan on expanding and fully open up to all who wish to join us.  When this happens, we will make an announcement on our Facebook page and website.

It has been our pleasure over the last 16 months to provide the livestream of our evening prayer. We are happy that this service has brought some peace and comfort to so many people during the pandemic.  However, now that we have new plans in place to open up, we will discontinue this process beginning July 1st.

Let us continue to pray for each other as we attempt to get back to some normalcy in our lives. Know that as we come together as a community in prayer each day, we will remember you, your needs and continued good health.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Many blessings,

Sr. Julie  Sewell, OSB
