Our Lady of Grace Monastery is home to the Sisters of St. Benedict.

For over fifty years, Our Lady of Grace Monastery has been home to the Sisters of St. Benedict. As a house of prayer, the Divine Office has been recited each and every day without interruption. A life dedicated to prayer enables us to embrace the needs and petitions of the people we serve.

The monastic community participates in a variety of ministries to serve the people of God. We work in parishes as Directors of Religious Education, Pastoral Associates and Parish Life Coordinators. We are educators in elementary schools, high schools and universities. We work in the area of healthcare in hospitals and nursing homes. Work is an integral part of our lives.

In service to you, we pledge: To a world that can't decide if prayer should be a part of a graduation ceremony or in the classroom - we pledge daily prayer.

To a world that abuses children, spouses and the elderly - we pledge a life devoted to loving and caring for one another through community.

To a world that rejects victims of AIDS, the marginalized and people of different races and nationalities - we pledge hospitality.

To a world that no longer values a day's labor for a day's pay - we pledge ministry and service.

To a world that no longer respects long-term commitments - we pledge a vowed life for life.

A vibrant community of women, nestled in beautiful Beech Grove, Indiana, we follow the Rule of St. Benedict and embody the monastic way of life as we continue to seek God in everyone and everything, everyday of our lives.
