When Sister Catherine finally did come back to the monastery in 1993 she still was not ready for retirement. Sister Catherine is our Guest Mistress at the monastery where she is busy scheduling guests, preparing bedrooms and making sure each person receives warm Benedictine hospitality. But neither her duties nor her generosity are limited to the area of guests. Sister Catherine also volunteers every Wednesday at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry, she actively participates in other duties around the monastery, takes part in liturgical roles at
Mass and Divine Office, she does spiritual direction, is a prayer partner with our oblates.....the list goes on and on.

Sister Catherine Gardner may never learn the words "slow down" or "stop," but that is fine with her.

She continues to give her life to God and to others-that is all that matters to Sister Catherine.
